About me

I'm Klaudia Romek, a lead developer with 9 years shipping mobile and full-stack products in startups and scale-ups — and building narrative games in Unity. I work closely with designers and product owners, ship with production discipline, and own work end to end: design, implementation, narrative, and cross-functional leadership when the problem needs it. Right now I'm building Knights of the Picnic Table while leading mobile work in healthcare at scale.

What I focus on

  • Games: Unity, narrative systems (ink), gameplay and tools — solo from concept to Steam, or helping teams ship faster.
  • Mobile & product: React Native, Flutter, Xamarin, and native iOS/Android. MVPs through scale-up: subscriptions, CI/CD, analytics, design systems.

Background

I moved to the UK from Poland in 2015 to study computer science. A startup placement during my degree turned into a full-time role, and I've been building across startups and scale-ups ever since.

I'm still most motivated by reaching people — connecting over shared mental health experiences, or over a story that's just fun to be in. Guilt Free and One a Day came from the first; Knights of the Picnic Table is a bit of both.

When I'm not coding, I'm usually learning Japanese, running, questioning another DIY renovation project, or adding to a board-game collection that's winning against our shelf space (hey, I should build more shelves!).
